Flippity Do-Da Day for Jag Walk
This week jag walk had a splendid little treat. Hawksbill anyone? Jag walkers said “yes please”!
This day heroes would be made as they came upon a young hawksbill, lying on its back. The team thought it was far-gone as they walked up to it. Stephanny Arroyo, put on her gloves and lifted the tiny yearling and it immediately came to life like a J.K. Rowling novel.
“It felt exhilarating to have rescued an innocent critically endangered species from a grisly death”, words from a proud and jubilant Phil Chapman. The team decided it was healthy and released the little bugger and it scurried right back to sea. Flip it over and flip it out.
