Fiesta Forever

The evening of the 15th of May saw the convoy of volunteers and staff embark upon the village of San Francisco, for there was a fiesta in town. As the fleet arrived at the school, where the knees up was taking place, they were invited to play football with the locals whilst the food was being prepared. Hot and sweaty, a cold coca-cola or imperial with a plate of gallo pinto was just the fix needed.

The team enjoyed divulging and socialising to the bumping sounds of the reggaeton disco, and as their feet tapped along, they felt compelled to investigate further. Finding themselves standing alongside the empty dance floor, it was like a scene from a school disco, full of naïve and frigid pupils.

Slowly but surely the whole flock of volunteers filtered onto the disco floor, and proceeded to dance erratically to the cheesy anthems. Sweat ridden and red faced the convoy retreated back to base at the sinful hour of 7:00pm, so the PM1 team could prep for their beach walk, no doubt they had “Hot Stuff” going round in their heads the whole way.

Pura vida!
