Back again in Jalova
The second expedition in our new location started last Friday. After two weeks without any volunteers on base, Jalova came back to full life again. With the arrival of the 16 new volunteers, we are now back into the swing of things.
By bus, boat and then on their own feet, the group made it from the meeting point in San Jose to the expedition base Jalova in a new record time, due to empty roads because of the easter festiveties in Costa Rica. All went well and the guys all moved into their new homes for the next weeks.
The training period went well and with long and extremely hot days of studying species, first aid, VHF radios and methodologies, everybody was happy to head out into the forest and start the normal surveying this week-end.
We'll be back soon with some updates more photos of the critters that were spotted during the week.
