Life in Quepos as a GVI volunteer- earthquakes, sloths and papier-mâché
Somehow it's been 2 weeks since I got here. The pre arrival worries about what I left home for have faded into a sun soaked fortnight with my new family, made up of Australians, Scottish, American, Swiss and English, who all know me far too well already.
The intensive Spanish course that I never thought I could do has come and gone, I've experienced my first two earthquakes, and am getting used to having a sloth live at our local bus stop. The kids of El Cocal and Boca Vieja have exhausted me, and entertained me in equal measure. My colouring in is improving, and I will be rediscovering my love for papier-mâché next week. Somehow this all seems very normal behaviour now!
