Volunteering in El Cocal

This was offically my first week volunteering in El Cocal. So far it is an awesome experience!

The people in the community and very good hearted, kind people and show appreciation for the work we are doing. We get to establish bonds with the kids through fun activities including sports in the local area.

The spanish lessons we are taking is also a lot of fun. Runia, our teacher, is super friendly and helps us a lot with improving our conversation skills. The small peninsula town of El Cocal is a high poverty place with dirt roads and weakly constructed houses, but it's still a naturally beautiful place. So far this is a great and rewarding experience.
