GVI Costa Rica Fundraising Challenge....

Wanted: adventurous rafters ready for a journey across half the width of Costa Rica.
If you think you have what it takes to conquer the mighty Pacuare River, join us!

‘Source to Sea – make a difference’
Saturday 5th May – Tuesday 8th May 2012
The Cause
It is the beginning of Turtle season on Tortuguero beach, every night beautiful and gentle Green Turtles and Leatherbacks struggle ashore in order to nest and lay their eggs. They are vulnerable to hungry jaguars but also to poachers who will either kill them for their meat and shell or steal their eggs. GVI is working to support Tortuguero National Park in their anti- poaching efforts.
GVI Costa Rica is also running a Community Development Project on the Pacific coast, working to support the children of an isolated community near Quepos. The school and community has very limited infrastructure and we are raising funds to enhance the children’s education.

The funds raised through this Challenge will be split evenly between both GVI Costa Rica programs…..
Please see our project pages on the GVI Charitable Trust website for more details:
