Adiós Amigo!

Caño Palma said a sad goodbye to COTERC’s Station Manager, Josh Feltham, this week as he headed back to his home and family in Canada. Josh has been coming to the station for about 10 years and he and his family arrived in September of 2008 with intentions to stay for a year.

A herpetologist, Josh frequently presented the station’s staff and volunteers with informal lessons about snakes and other reptiles found on the property. Josh and his wife Karen have been producing multimedia environmental education materials during their time here, as well as Josh giving presentations to tourists and working with school groups to spread the good word of conservation.

Josh also did a lot of maintenance work around base and the boardwalk, which is appreciated by all. His presence on base and abundance of knowledge will be greatly missed. You can find out more at his website: http://www.destinationconservation.ca/
